Glassboards with an Edge

Ghent, a leading provider of visual communication tools, is committed to creating thoughtfully designed products. In the last year their Glassboards achieved BIFMA Level 2 certification, placing Ghent among a select few companies in the sector to achieve such a distinction.

BIFMA Level is a rigorous furniture certification program aimed at providing an all-encompassing method for sourcing sustainable products. Assessed by independent certifiers, products are evaluated based on multifaceted guidelines outlined in the ANSI/BIFMA e3 Furniture Sustainability Standard. This holistic framework analyzes the product, the manufacturing facility, and the company based on social and environmental standards.

Ghent’s sleek custom glassboards, available in various sizes and designs, facilitate collaboration and inclusivity. Their compliance with strict air quality standards allow A&Ds to design for those with multiple chemical sensitivities, making it easier for those to work in group environments.

Ninety five percent of Ghent’s products are produced in the USA. This strategy allows Ghent to supervise the entire manufacturing process – from sourcing materials to final assembly- ensuring quality control and environmental stewardship.  It is no surprise then that Ghent’s glassboards contribute points to LEED, WELL, and Living Building Challenge.
